Der Triumph Asper wurde in Australien auf einem 1957er Rahmen eines Triumph TR 3 aufgebaut und ab 1960 erstmals an Rennen eingesetzt. Der Motor mit 2157ccm leistet 150 PS, was bei einem Gewicht von 800kg sehr gute Fahrleistungen ergibt. Der heutige Besitzer, Tom Jeck, zeigt das interessante Fahrzeug an diversen Oldtimer Events. I owned and raced a similar car in the 1960’s in Tasmania (Australia). My car had the same fibreglass body and Triumph TR3 engine and transmission with overdrive. Our car had a specially built space frame chassis and VW front suspension and an Austin A50 rear axle.
I sold the car in 1966 and have been unable to track where it has finished up. I have done a lot of research but all without success.
